Darren Lehmann has urged Australia to consider touring Pakistan, provided they are satisfied with the security measures in place. The former Australia cricketer and head coach was all praise for the Asian country while recalling the tour of Pakistan in 1998.

Darren Lehmann stated that Pakistan is a ‘beautiful’ place to tour before saying that the Pakistanis’ passion for the game is second to none. Darren Lehmann went as far as saying that he can’t see Australia refusing to tour the country in near future if ‘everything is safe’.

“It’s a beautiful place to go. I really enjoyed my tour there. Their passion for the game is second to none. I can’t see why we wouldn’t go back if everything is safe, for the good of the game in their country,” he added.

Pakistan cricket is slowly returning to normalcy as far as hosting games in its backyard is concerned. In the wake of the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009, Pakistan were compelled to host other teams at neutral venues for nearly a decade.
